Excavator and skid steer clearing and grading a wooded hillside lot

Services

Grading & Heavy Excavation

Before anything gets built, planted, or paved, the ground has to be moved and shaped correctly. Terry runs grading and excavation jobs the same way he's run them for 35 years — reading the site, moving the right amount of material, and leaving a surface that drains and holds the way it's supposed to.

What's included

  • Site preparation — clearing and rough grading a lot before construction, landscaping, or other site work begins.
  • Earthmoving — cutting, filling, and relocating soil to reach the grade a project calls for.
  • Finish grading — shaping the final surface so water moves away from structures instead of pooling against them.
  • Drainage preparation — rough grading and trenching to set up drainage lines and swales specified in your plans.
  • Difficult-access excavation — equipment sized and operated to reach lots that a standard excavation crew would turn down.

Good fit if…

You've got a lot that needs to be cleared and shaped before the next phase of work, a drainage problem that starts at the grading, or a site that's steep or tight enough that you've already had another contractor pass on it.

Every site is different. Soil conditions, slope, and drainage requirements vary property to property and city to city. We assess your specific site and confirm what's needed — and any permits that apply — during your free estimate.
